Hendrickson Residence

In the front yard, this client not only had a drainage problem that needed correction, but they also wanted an updated look.  In the back, they wanted to add a fire pit for entertaining and were looking to make the area around their pool more appealing.

After correcting the drainage problem that left standing water in the front yard and on the driveway, Magnolia constructed a new walkway with paving stones to cover the existing stoop.  In addition, mulch and a new landscape of plantings were added to give the yard some much-needed color.  In the back, Tom built the fire pit patio into the hillside to make it feel more welcoming.  Boulders were used to create a staircase to the fire pit, and a paving stone border was added to encompass the pool and encourage guests to relax by the fire.  Mulch and plantings were used to soften the look of all the hardscapes.

The homeowners love their new backyard retreat and are thrilled to see all the plants coming in.  They now look forward to having guests over!
